Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Egypt

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival to Cairo airport you’ll be met and assisted by Mo Luxury Tours representative at the Cairo airport, who will help you to go through the security area, luggage claim and customs. Then our representative will escorting you to your Hotel in Cairo.

Overnight Cairo Hotel: 5 star Luxury hotel.

Day 2: Saqqara and Dahshur Pyramids

After Breakfast. Start your day by visiting Saqqara, the necropolis of Memphis and home of the Step Pyramid, the first limestone structure that was ever built. Explore its 4350 year old colored tombs. Go inside a pyramid and see the ancient Hieroglyphics engraved on its walls thousands of years ago. Your tour will include a special entry to one of the recent discovered tombs in Saqqara. Have lunch in a local restaurant then visit the Bent and Red pyramids of Dahshur in the middle of nowhere so you get to experience the way how all the pyramids of Egypt used to look like.

Day 3: Giza Pyramids / The Sphinx

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your Egyptologist for a full day tour of Giza and its environs. Your tour will start with a visit to:

Giza Pyramids: You will visit the pyramids and Giza Plateau, located on the outskirts of Cairo, and considered amongst the seven Wonders of the World. The Great Pyramids are over 4500 years old, and are massive in size, with some of the blocks weighing in excess of two and a half tons each.  

Camel Ride: No trip to Egypt would be complete without a camel ride at Giza Pyramids. so you will have an opportunity to mount your individual camel for a short ride across the sands of Giza to the Sphinx.

The Sphinx: Enter the temple of the mysterious Sphinx, an ancient figure shrouded in legend and mystery. Your Egyptologist will enthrall you with the tales told of this fascinating figure.

Lunch at 9 PYRAMIDS restaurant with a panoramic view of the 9 Pyramids all together.

Then drive back to your Hotel.

Day 4: Fly to Luxor / Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples

• Breakfast at hotel.

• Transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor, Meet and assist at Luxor airport.

• Visit the Karnak temple The temple complex has four parts. The most commonly visited one is the Precinct of Amun-Ra.

• Transfer to check in your LUXURY Nile Cruise.

Day 5: Valley of the Kings and Colossi Of Memnon

• Breakfast onboard.

• After breakfast, Visit the Valley of the Kings, tomb of King Tutankhamun, tomb of RamsesVI. It was a royal cemetery for over 500 years, and 62 pharaohs and other nobles were buried there.

• Stop to visit Colossi of Memnon.

• Lunch on board

• The rest of the afternoon is free for leisure. You can enjoy the stunning views of the Nile from the cruise ship’s sundeck while sailing to Edfu.

• In the evening you are invited to the captain’s cocktail party, where you meet the crew and enjoy delicious local and international cocktails.

Day 6: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

Day 7: Temple of Philae / Unfinished Obelisk /  Nubian Village

• After breakfast on-board.

• Visit Isis Temple, you take a motorboat ride to the Temple of Philae, beautifully located on an island. The temple was built in 208 BC and dedicated to the goddess Isis.

• Visit Unfinished Obelisk, the largest-known ancient obelisk, lying on its side in a stone quarry. It measures around 140 feet tall and weighs nearly 1,200 tons

• Lunch onboard

• Felucca on the Nile around Kitchener island.

• Take a motorboat ride through the cataracts of the Nile to a Nubian village. There you will meet the Nubians and visit their homes and local school to experience their way of living. Back on board the cruise ship.

• Enjoy the Nubian party featuring traditional music and folk dances on the cruise.

Day 8: Abu Simbel Temples / The Aswan High Dam

• After Breakfast onboard.

• Drive to the majestic Abu Simbel Temples, one of the most impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. The temples were carved out of the mountainside in the 13th century BC for Ramses II and his wife Nefertari.

• Back to the cruise ship, on the way you stop to see the High Dam of Aswan.

• Lunch and Dinner onboard.

Day 9: Sailing to Luxor / Nile River Cruise

Today, you can relax while cruising the Nile back to Luxor. In the meantime take part in the second Q&A session with your Egyptology Expert.

Day 10 – Temple of Hatshepsut  /  Deir el-Medina

• After breakfast, Visit the Hatshepsut Temple, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most characteristic temples in Luxor. It was built for the most successful female pharaoh to rule over Egypt.

• Visit Deir el-Medina, the ancient workers’ village and home to the artisans and craftspeople of Thebes.

• Back to the cruise.

• Evening enjoy the Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple.

Day 11: Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali / Old Cairo

After Breakfast morning flight to Cairo. Upon arrival we will visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Situated on the summit of a centuries-old citadel, this is a fine example of an Ottoman-era mosque. Lunch in one of the best Local restaurant in Cairo. Wrap up the day by walking through old Islamic Cairo; walk in El Muizz Street which has the greatest concentration of medieval architectural treasures in the Islamic world; explore the winding alleyways of the famous Khan El Khalili market, the major souk in the Islamic Cairo district. Back to your hotel and overnight.

Day 12: The Egyptian Museum / Farewell Dinner

After Breakfast we will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in the world for one single civilization. You will stand face-to-face with the Golden Mask of the boy King Tutankhamun. You will be dazzled with the amount of treasures and artifacts that this museum holds. Back to your hotel. In the evening, during the farewell dinner at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant, enjoy live music and celebrate your unforgettable journey to Egypt.

*The visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum depends on the time if its opening. Until then, the tour itinerary will include the visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities at Tahrir Square.
